What you get in our class
Self-assessment & Timed Test
Mr. Lim’s JC Math tuition program includes self-assessment and timed practice sessions at regular intervals. These activities prepare students for class tests, mid-term exams, and end-of-year assessments in Singapore. They enhance time management skills and develop the right examination mindset. Students pinpoint areas of weakness, allowing them to address concepts they have yet to master. Mr. Lim records and marks all tests, providing valuable feedback to guide improvement.
Examinations Skills & Strategies
Handling a 3-hour examination paper can be challenging. However, students learn effective strategies to tackle both H2 Math papers confidently. These strategies teach students how to allocate time wisely to complete the paper. Students also learn to identify questions based on topics to prioritize. Additionally, students are reminded to set aside time for review and error-checking. They are trained in answering techniques and presentation methods to maximize marks. This comprehensive guidance is provided to students just before their A-Level examinations.
Effective Teaching Methodology
Mr. Lim uses a dynamic teaching methodology to help students master Mathematics concepts with clarity and confidence. He conducts small group classes, allowing personalized attention and fostering interactive discussions. This approach creates a collaborative learning environment where students engage with peers and the tutor. Mr. Lim excels at simplifying complex concepts, making challenging topics easier to understand. His method ensures students are well-prepared and positioned to achieve distinction in their H2 Math examinations.
Intensive Revisions and Crash Course
Mr. Lim conducts two crash courses annually, in June and September, rotating the materials biennially. Students joining in JC 1 will experience four unique crash courses, each with distinct content. For JC 2 students, Mr. Lim offers a comprehensive 30-hour topical revision in October before the A-Level Mathematics exams. This intensive program thoroughly covers every topic and question variant, ensuring students review all examinable content. This well-rounded program is designed to help every student achieve distinction in the A-Level H2 Mathematics examinations.

Topical Re-teaching and Tutorials
In our JC Math tuition, Mr. Lim reintroduces key topical concepts, highlighting strategies for solving common question types. Students then practice different question types with guidance from our H2 Math tutor. This process helps students recognize common mistakes and pitfalls. Each student is closely monitored as they complete the tutorial. This allows Mr. Lim to identify critical mistakes early and address them promptly..
Overall Revision Drills
In overall revision drills, students receive revision worksheets and notes covering interconnected topics across the A-Level H2 Math curriculum. These worksheets and notes are designed to address common misconceptions and mistakes students typically make. Tutors use higher-order thinking questions to challenge students and teach the correct approach to difficult questions. This method encourages deeper understanding and prepares students to tackle complex problems confidently.
Concept-Reinforcement and Topical-Revision
In our June and September crash courses, students explore a wider range of questions for each topic. This approach promotes greater familiarity with different question variations. Our tutors tailor these lessons specifically for A-Level H2 Math students. They focus on questions directly related to the students’ syllabus, ensuring targeted practice and thorough preparation.

A Transformative Tuition
FAQ
No worries! We understand that JC students have busy schedules filled with school commitments, CCA activities, competitions, family holidays and the occasional unexpected event.
That’s why we offer one of the most flexible attendance arrangements for our students.
If you are unable to attend your usual lesson, don’t worry. In many cases, you can simply attend another class during the same weekend, as the Saturday and Sunday classes cover the same lesson content. This provides students with greater flexibility when unexpected school activities, family commitments, or other events arise.
Students can:
(A) Switch between our Saturday and Sunday classes (subject to availability)
(B) Attend the lesson live online via Zoom instead of coming on-site
(C) Watch the lesson recording if you are unable to attend the live class
If you are unable to attend either class that weekend, you will still receive the
✅ lesson notes,
✅ tutorial, and
✅ access to the lesson recording so you can catch up at your own pace.
If you require additional worked solutions, Mr Lim is happy to provide them upon request.
There is no need to commit permanently to a particular class format. Students are welcome to switch between on-site and online lessons throughout the academic year, making it easy to adapt to changing schedules.
If you miss a lesson, we recommend watching the recording as soon as possible so you can stay on track with the class. If you have any questions afterwards, you’re always welcome to consult Mr Lim for clarification.
Missing an occasional lesson doesn’t mean falling behind. With our flexible attendance options and lesson recordings, students can catch up quickly and continue learning with confidence.
Yes!
Every lesson at 180ᵒ H2 Math Centre is conducted in a hybrid format, allowing students to attend either on-site or live online via Zoom.
Our hybrid system gives students the flexibility to choose the mode of learning that best suits their schedule. Whether your child is travelling, unwell, busy with CCA commitments, or simply prefers to study from home on a particular week, they can seamlessly switch between on-site and online lessons without interrupting their learning.
Students attending online participate in the lesson live together with the classroom students. They can listen to Mr Lim’s explanations, ask questions during class, and follow the lesson in real time.
For students who attend online regularly, we will arrange for all lesson notes and worksheets to be delivered before each new batch of materials begins, ensuring they receive the same learning resources as students attending on-site.
